Elizabeth Goenawan Ananto

Elizabeth Goenawan Ananto is one of Indonesia’s leading public relations experts. She has more than 20 years experience teaching in academic and professional services and is presently coordinator of English teaching and a lecturer in Business Communications at the Faculty of Economics, Trisakti University, Indonesia. She has been a special staff member to the Trisakti Foundation - a patron of Trisakti University, academies and colleges with 35,000 students - since 1997. Ananto is also project officer for Trisakti University’s participation as a founding supporter of global green movement “Clean Up the World” campaign to raise people's awareness of the environment and urge people to clean up their neighborhoods.

Elizabeth Ananto joined the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) in 1993, was elected to Council in 1996, and now serves on the Board of Directors. She has attended meetings in Hong Kong, Perth, Paris, Helsinki and London and is a member of the FrontLine 21 education task force. She is a Board member of the Indonesian Association of Public Relations (Perhumas) and a member of the Indonesian Marketing Association (IMA) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). Her primary concern is to further public relations education in Indonesia and other developing countries by encouraging public relations educators to join IPRA as Collegiate members and to establish student chapters.
